My Students
My third graders are eager to learn, and enjoy learning through technology. Many of my students do not have access to technology at home. Therefore, having the available technology in my classroom is important. In my classroom, I like to engage my students through various websites, apps, and learning stations. We play educational games, watch videos, listen to books, and go on virtual field trips to further our knowledge of the content area.
My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds.
Despite their differences, I want each of my students to have the opportunity to reach their full academic potential. Adding two Chromebooks to our classroom would greatly benefit my students.
My Project
To further help my students be academically strong, I am hoping to add two Chromebooks to my classroom learning stations. These Chromebooks allow students the opportunity to improve their skills in all subject areas.
Students will be able to access their Google Classroom, play games with their spelling words, practice basic math, reading, and grammar skills, and virtually attend places they would otherwise never 'visit.' My students who are reading at a lower level than their peers could also use the laptops to listen to text that other students are reading on their own.
By hearing the same text, these students will then be able to participate in our class discussions and complete book projects.
