This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are my inspiration. My students show an intense desire to learn, and it is my ethical and moral obligation to ensure that I do everything that I can to help them achieve their goals.

My students are funny and clever; there's not a day that goes by that they don't make me laugh and beam with pride.

I would love to see my students have the opportunity to experience the benefit of having more technology in my classroom. I would also love to be able to keep them constantly supplied with basic materials needed in my class. My students are such an important part of my life and I want to be sure that I'm doing everything I can for them inside and out of the classroom.

My Project

My students would be using a classroom iPad to help document their progress through a variety of projects including developing and implementing their own business plan. Students would work in small groups to develop their own business plans. Where practical, students will also be encouraged to actually implement their business plan on a small scale.

Students would be able to use the iPad to help them prepare a digital portfolio that would contain their business plans, videos of pitching their business plans to their classmates, and visual documentation of students putting their business plans into action!

By having the technology ready for use in the classroom, my students will be able spend more time focusing on their projects!
