Students in my class are in high school grades 11-12. Students come to my technical school from thirteen different high schools, charter schools, and home schools.
Students study multimedia, digital art, animation, graphic design, photography, video production, video editing, GIS, game design, computer programming, web design, and 3D modeling.
Students are consumers of technology but often lack the skills to develop and create using technology, especially video production, video editing, animation, 3D modeling, and computer programming.
My Project
The Canon Digital Gadget Bags will organize and protect photography and video gear. The Canon Digital Gadget Bags will allow students to safely transport photography and video gear to locations.
Students will work individually and in groups to complete photography and video projects at various locations at our school and in our community.
Students will scout for photography locations, plan and schedule photography sessions, schedule the use of gear and organize gear for transport to locations.
Students will work in groups to plan and complete hands on video production projects at various locations at our school and in our community. Students will create storyboards, write scripts, film, edit and create movies. Students will collaborate with actors and crew members to create a schedule to film and share resources.
Students will create photographs and videos to build their online portfolio. Students will have opportunities to enter their projects in state and regional contests.
This project will allow students to create digital art using photography and video skills they are leaning in class.
