Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

I am a second year teacher at a Title I high school in a rural NC. This is my first semester teaching journalism. Unfortunately, I have no supplies. As you may know, journalism students are primarily responsible for the school's yearbook. We are looking forward to this experience. However, we have a major problem. There are no digital cameras for our class to use. Without a digital camera students cannot take "everyday" pictures to include in the yearbook. In addition, we plan to produce a school newsletter. Again, pictures accompany news. So, I am looking to you for assistance. I am asking for two digital cameras to aid students in their journalism/yearbook endeavors. I am excited about this opportunity.
