Hello from fourth grade! We are a bright, busy group of fun-loving fourth graders. We love to learn by using our hands, getting into groups, and completing projects. Learning the standards doesn't have to be boring! We play games, use technology, do STEM activities, and learn about the world around us using real-life applications.
We come from diverse backgrounds.
Many of us have gone to this school since we began in Pre-K. However, our community is quickly growing and we have many new friends. Some of us come from other states and even the metro area close by. No matter our differences, we all get along and make a great team!
My Project
We are ready to "dig into" science! We have so many fun topics to explore. What's even better?? Science is a "hands on" subject and there are plenty of opportunities to have some "hands on" fun!
How would you like to dissect an owl pellet?
We can't wait! By dissecting owl pellets, we can discover the food chain that exists between the owl, his prey, and plants. By using special tools we can pull these apart and classify our findings to create a deeper understanding of predator and prey.
How about fossils? We can't wait to examine some fossils from long ago. We even will be able to mold and cast our own fossils to help us understand how fossils were created.
