My class consists of 20 fun and eager to learn six and seven year olds. These students have a good mixture of learning styles and learning levels. Some are learning English as a second language and many are learning above grade level. Although my school is located in a tight-knit community that is well known for its beautiful beaches and tourism industry, it lacks extra funding that most all schools in the district are provided for extra learning tools and resources.
This magazine will enhance our learning experience by giving us an interesting resource to get students excited about learning. The amazing resource will supplement our science and social studies curriculum and make learning about our world fun and meaningful.
I want to foster a love of reading in my classroom and Scholastic News will help keep students excited about reading and digging deeper into nonfiction.
With the meaningful articles it will keep them up to date with current events. The colorful, engaging, yet simple magazine is always a helpful tool to use to maximize student learning in my class room.
