Digging Deeper: Exploring and Learning with iPads!
My students need iPads to dig deeper into the content we are learning. We can use iPads to explore and learn about places different than our own. The iPads will help my students see multiple perspectives.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students in my class represent the shifting demographics of Texas! We have more than five countries represented in our student make-up. With the variety of languages and cultures, teaching pedagogy has to keep up. I strive to differentiate instruction to match the needs of my students. In our classroom, the students have limited access to technology. I want to increase access, to expand the four walls of our room, so that the students can see themselves represented in the curriculum.
My Project
We know the power that comes from learning about ourselves and others. We can use the iPads to connect with real-world people that can enhance the learning taking place in our classroom. It is one thing for me as a teacher to share information, but so much can come out of making our learning more concrete. It isn't always feasible to get an expert into our classroom, but we plan to explore resources and reach out to experts when the opportunity arises.
These powerful connections will help us to make a difference in our own community.
My students will be able to see faces that look like them, faces that are successful and this experience will provide an example for what they can accomplish in their educational careers. The use of iPads to connect and push the boundaries of our room is magnificent. I know that my students will benefit from the use of iPads, because they will be an engaging component to our daily classroom life.
