Approximately 75% of the students at our school receive free or reduced-price lunch, and we have a high number of military families. There is an amazing group of hard working young adults in my class. They strive every day to do their best and succeed. Their goals and dreams are to achieve a high school diploma and go to college.
These students take any obstacle in their path head-on and don't let it slow them down.
These students overcome so many different setbacks during their time in school.
My Project
My students consist of a unique blend of individuals who strive hard each day to reach their goals of getting closer to attending college. I have students from multiple backgrounds including military families, homeless students and high poverty to just name a few. Yet, one thing all my students have in common is that they never let their environment influence where they are going in their lives.
My students impress me each day, both inside the classroom and outside.
I want to help my students both mentally and physically by providing them with a essential oil diffuser to use inside our classroom and separate lab area. I am requesting two large volume essential oil diffusers to provide my students with a uplifting, calming and healthy learning environment.
I have also requested a variety of essential oils such as lemon for boosting moods, lavender for relieving stress, orange to remove germs, and peppermint for mental focus.
My students did the research to find out the best essential oils that would help our classroom and lab become the learning environment they want. There is so much research that shows that essential oils used inside classrooms really help to promote a positive and healthy learning environment and I strive to provide that for my students.
