This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Drama, theator, visual art, and dance are part of our everyday lessons. What a way to learn. My students use their creativity of the arts and enthusiasm about reading new novels to travels to different lands, meet inspiring characters, and become problem solvers. We are in an art integrated school where students use music, theator, drama, and art to help demonstrate their academic knowledge. I love how my students create dance, poems, songs, and visual arts pieces that represent themselves and their academic mastery.

My Project

We need a class set of the book Fish in a Tree to help expose them different literature that will different points of view. We use class sets of great novels so that all students at various reading levels can read with me, with a partner, or on their own. Students can re-read at their own pace which will allows them to create meaningful writing pieces and art work that represents that student. Students research time periods, culture, and other nuances that help inspire the author to write and then do the same to improve their writing. We need your help in putting great novels that will inspire students to be problem solvers and love long learners. Your donation will help develop a love for literature.
