My students are a group of highly energetic and motivated First Graders. They love to learn and delight in sharing their knowledge with others. My students come from diverse backgrounds and our school is located in a high needs area. With that in mind, I want to give my students every advantage that I can to be successful and reach their full potential. We learn from one another on a daily basis and strive to be cognizant of what we can do to help others through learning and caring. Being able to fully meet the diverse learning styles in my classroom is something that I strive for on a daily basis. These iPads will certainly help meet the daily challenges my students have accessing the curriculum on their own level.
My Project
These materials will allow for the differentiation that is needed in today's classroom. By having these iPads available for student use, I will be able to differentiate for individual student needs, plan group work which can be done on the iPad, and will allow students who aren't so confident in their Mathematical abilities to soar through the creations that they can make as a team in geometry, measurement, or in fluency facts to 20 through creating their own word problems. Wow! The possibilities are endless as will be the smiles! Building skills will go hand in hand with building confidence!
