Help me give my students new, meaningful, and differentiated literacy centers! These new centers will allow students to build their reading foundational skills and work at their own instructional level.
I teach 20 of the sweetest first graders! Every morning they come to school with big smiles on their faces and are just so excited to be at school and learn new things. I'm so lucky that I get to spend time with these kiddos every single day and help them grow. Each and every one of them is going to do amazing things in life. They truly make my days brighter, and I couldn't ask for a better group my first year! :)
My Project
As a first year teacher, I will admit that my literacy centers need some work. Most of the centers I do have in my classroom are old hand me downs that are missing pieces, or things I threw together on a budget.
These new literacy centers will allow students to build their reading foundational skills and work at their own instructional level.
The items I am asking for will allow students to work independently or cooperatively to learn and build their reading skills, and allow me to focus on my students in small reading groups.
