Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My scholars are creative, hard-working, and thoughtful. They all consistently preserve with their learning and are experts at communicating their needs while never giving up. They inspire me everyday to be more like them and they are the reason I love being a teacher.
I teach in a small town where many of my students come from families with a low income.
They struggle to come to school with school supplies each year.
My students are always ready to explore, learn, and discover new things. I am so lucky to work with them and need to give them the resources they need to be successful.
My Project
These math and reading supplies are going to help my students immensely when mastering their standards. These supplies will be used in small groups to help my students get the differentiated assistance that they need in order to be successful in their next grade and on the state testing.
Please help my students make new connections in two of their core subjects to solidify their learning with hands on materials!
My class loves to work with materials that can be written on with white board markers and be re-used to help them become experts in these concepts in different ways than just on paper. They would love these materials to help them continue their learning.
They will specifically use these material during our small group intervention reading time in the mornings! Students are grouped by their level and these materials will help each group be met with materials that are at their level. For example, getting more hands on learning when it comes to answer questions on non-fiction and fiction texts.
