Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are the future. I want to provide them with all the necessary tools and instruction to be lifelong learners. My students learn best when they are in charge of their learning. I strive to cater to all learning styles and needs.
I teach a diverse group of students from all backgrounds and cultures.
They each are unique and have different learning styles and personalities. I feel creating a space that welcomes diversity and teaches tolerance will make our classroom environment that much better.
My Project
I am requesting a ScanNCut 2 system for my classroom. I am constantly searching for materials that can help me differentiate instruction, especially during my center rotations. I currently spend many hours laminating and cutting materials. I came across this machine and have watched many tutorials on how to use it. The Brother Cut & Scan would help me eliminate hours of cutting because the Brother Scan and Cut 2 is able to cut out the small pieces in a quarter of the time it takes for me to cut them by hand. I can't even begin to imagine how much time this would save and much faster these materials would get into the hands of my students!
My students use center activities throughout the day to supplement the skills they are learning in reading.
The students love the center games and do not realize they are actually learning through play! These activities are so much fun, my students actually ASK to use them and BEG for new ones!
