This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are fighting a battle harder than most. In our rural, low-poverty area, my students are met with challenges at home and of the world. I enjoy how they enter the classroom eager and ready to learn. They seem curious, enthusiastic, and creative; as my students are eager to immerse themselves in any kind of challenge. As I introduce computer science for the first time to many, I see the curiosity in their eye as if they will even pass this course. We were at the bottom 6% of failing schools in our state. With or without Title I assistance, it seems as if we cannot move forward. Just to see my students' smiling faces as if they have no worries, ease the facts out of reality. These students are a blessing in more ways than one.

My Project

Each student is different in height and size, but we all can strive for success! These students' chairs can adjust to student's height and size without interfering with the process of learning. Daily students complain and ask can they be move or even stand to complete assignments. Students should be able to be comfortable while spending 90 minutes in a room while learning the curriculum. Because all students are not tall or short, they should be able to adjust their seat for comfort. Why let this small thing get in the way of their success. When you feel good you work hard and you put 100% in your work.
