Help me give my students snacks and treats for Advisory Nights, a time when students spend time together after school and play board games and other fun activities. They love chocolate, popcorn and fruit snacks!
I teach math in a small middle school in the poorest Congressional district in the country to the most amazing kids I know.
My students are unique individuals who are eager to engage in activities that stimulate their minds and encourage critical thinking.
On a daily basis, my colleagues and I strive to develop and implement lessons and activities that meet the wide range of ability levels each in class. All children can learn and grow socially, emotionally, and academically when provided with the right tools.
My Project
On selected days after school, our students engage in activities and games to help them develop friendships, grow socially and boost their communication skills. Advisory Night lasts for multiple hours after school, and many of our students do not have the funds to bring their own snacks. With your donation, our students will have the brain power and food for thought needed to be fully aware and engaged in activities and games like chess, monopoly and other games that help them practice strategy, teamwork and critical thinking skills. They will not go hungry for hours after school due to limited snacks or no snacks at all. Students would receive one snack and a juice and will eat while engaging in social activities. Help us give our students something to do after school with their friends with a snack to get them to come back!
