Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our class is made up of global citizens who have just recently begun to realize the immense power of the human mind. I strongly believe that empowering students creates an abundance of opportunities for reflection, engagement, and agency.

Classrooms become homes and therefore, personalizing them is a necessary motivator for young students in destitute communities.

It helps to forge a path where dreams give life. Studies have shown that optimizing the physical characteristics of primary classrooms improved academic performance in reading, writing, and mathematics by 16 percent. Please join me in my vision to provide these little humans with a space that is reflective of all the possibilities available to us in this world.

My Project

A dictionary is the core of any teaching program and needs to be used and abused until the pages begin to fall out and a new one is needed. It is the basic building block of any language course and the first thing that a student should be taught is how to use one.

Dictionaries are a critical component of language learning and are, for the most part, well used.

Any teacher knows that confusion needs to be cleared up quickly or else it will tend to grow. Confusion needs to be nipped in the bud before journeying on to the next lesson.

When learning enters a more advanced phase the student needs to use a comprehensive English dictionary to make sure that he is defining the words that he is translating. He must also have a dictionary available that pertains to his native language in case he runs into any words in his own language that he doesn't fully comprehend. My students and I, in 4th and 5th grade, greatly appreciate your help and will make excellent use of the English and Spanish-English dictionaries. Our utmost thanks and best wishes for a loving holiday season!
