As a computer teacher of students that receive remediation in Math and Reading, I am constantly searching for ways for them to learn. One way we can achieve this is to have a dictionary set in our classroom. I strongly feel that having a classroom set of dictionaries can help my students learn how to find information on their own. They can learn several things from the dictionaries, such as the term of a word and the pronunciation of a word. This can be very vital information for the students that I teach. I currently teach 58 students with reading levels ranging from grade 2 through grade 8. In order for our students to keep learning we must provide them with the information they need. So I believe it is very important that the students have the dictionaries on hand everyday. The dictionaries will not only be helpful with my students this year but for many years to come. So everyone will have the opportunity to learn.
