My Students

My students enjoy coming to school to interact with their peers and teachers. This is their first year in junior high and are excited to be here. They are social and enjoy being in the company of their friends. In sixth grade, we tie in Greek mythology with our literacy units.

My Project

The new dictionaries that I am requesting will help students improve their vocabulary.

In sixth grade, we study Greek and Latin roots.

With these new dictionaries, students will be able to dive deeper into the etymology of words and their meanings which will promote a deeper understanding of our language.

The class set of dictionaries that I have now are missing pages and were published in 1972. They are also considered to be elementary dictionaries, and my sixth graders are in junior high.

My Gifted and Talented students would benefit from having such a great, updated resource to use!
