My Students

My English classes are in desperate need of dictionaries.

This a a high school in a very small, rural, and poor town in Southern Arizona.

We are a Title 1 school. There are many very bright kids here who really want a better education for themselves, unfortunately most have little parental support. Moreover, budget problems in this state are horrendous.

My Project

For the most part, these kids have an extremely limited vocabulary. We have been working very hard to improve that situation. However, our old paperback dictionaries are fast approaching their last days. These Merriam-Webster School Dictionaries would be a huge help for these kids.

A good vocabulary is a major asset in this day and age, and hopefully, with your help, we will be able to continue to provide our kids with the opportunity of greatly expanding their vocabularies.
