My Students

My students, in kindergarten to 5th grade, are amazing, eager children who are determined to succeed, but need extra support where it comes to math and science.

Despite needing extra support, my students are very curious and love to ask questions.

My students love to learn, inquire, collaborate, and participate in activities that challenge them and require them to dig deeper in a loving, supportive, and creative classroom environment that integrates literacy and STEM. My goal is that they become 21st-century students ready to conquer life's challenges. Students at our school are both socioeconomically and culturally/ethnically diverse.

Our theme this year is "Lights Camera Action: Where Students Are Our Main Attraction," and I'm ready to help my students shine and reach their full potential.

My Project

Students will be able to practice their math skills and enhance their current mathematical thinking. Just think of the possibilities...addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, comparing numbers, creating story problems, critical thinking, problem-solving and more. The dice will be used for both reviewing concepts and providing enrichment. Students will be able to engage in teacher-created games as well as games they create themselves. Students will be able to practice their math skills at home and build a school-to-home connection when they share such activities with their families. Students will think they're playing games but they're actually practicing their math facts and utilizing strategies.

This project will improve my classroom tremendously because it will provide our class with much-needed materials that will engage students, get them excited about mathematics, and practice their math facts in a new and engaging way.
