Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are enthusiastic about their learning in first grade. These children are mostly from low-income families and don't always have access to technology at home. They are fascinated by technology. Unfortunately, many of our students were impacted quite severely by Hurricane Harvey this past school year. The students require more interactive activities to keep them engaged in their learning and take responsibility and ownership of their learning. They love to learn through activities that seem like play since they are still children.
My Project
My students will be able to use the dice in order to complete different math activities. This will make their learning more fun and engaging. The dice will be used in whole group learning, centers, and small group learning activities. My students love to play games, and this will incorporate their love of games into their learning. The card stock will help my students to have resources available to them on a material that will last longer than regular copy paper. The students deserve materials that will last them the whole school year. They will use these resources repeatedly all year long.
