I am a 1st grade teacher at a Title I school where the majority of my students come from low income families and/or an ESL backgrounds. Many parents work multiple jobs and have very little extra income to expose students to the many wonderful technological advances of today's world.
It is my goal to provide every student the opportunity to experience a diverse and enriching educational experience that matches any other school.
I would like to add resources to my classroom that prepare students to be successful with modern software technology while simultaneously improving their foundational phonics and mathematics skills.
We live in a ever advancing digital age that unfortunately not every student has equal access to because of social and economic disadvantages. To be successful in today's economy, students are expected to enter into the professional workforce equipped with current technological knowledge and capabilities. I am seeking donors who will purchase Lakeshore Learning's Interactive Software Program: "Mastering Early Learning Skills" to enhance my classroom.
By contributing to a learning software library for these wonderful first graders, you will be investing in the growth and development of children who may come from economic disadvantage, but you will be giving them the equal opportunity to be just as successful as students from higher income schools.
Thank you for your contribution to developing tomorrow's leaders!
