A typical day in my classroom consists of children learning through play and exploration. When children come in the morning they are given a chance to use their imaginations and build on skills such as fine motor skills. After school the children need time that allows for developing more skills.
My students are children whose parents are working and need a safe caring place for their children.
My children come to school ready to learn and love to be creative and build on imagination. My school is a K-8 school and we service children from K-6. These children need time to have fun and develop their fine motor skills while having fun.
My Project
The students in my classroom will use the Lego's to build cities or towns and develop fine motor skills at the same time. The students will all have the opportunity to build and explore with blocks and people; plus the children will learn about people with disabilities with the people with disabilties dolls. Our children don't always deal with people with disabilities, but will learn through play and exploration of a persons disability. My children will learn that not everyone can do the simplest tasks when he/she has a disability and we will have the children try learning how to help a friend with disabilities.
My project will help the children develop fine motor skills through play and exploration.
My project will keep the children involved in their daily activities and allow for fun and creativity at the same time. My project will change the children's lives by giving each child the chance to learn and develop skills that are necessary to function in life.
