My Students
I am teaching reading for 4th grade in a brand new school district. I am transitioning from teaching math to teaching English Language Arts.
The school where I will be teaching is a small Title I school in a very rural town in a very rural part of central Texas.
I am starting from scratch with classroom supplies and needs. All of my materials I have built the past few years building up have been for math! I am so excited to start this new adventure, but am really needing your help to make sure I have all the resources my kids will need in order to have the best year yet!
My Project
How many times in your life have you heard the dreaded phrase "I don't like to read?" I hear people of all ages and reading abilities tell me this often, and I always say to them "That is because you have not found your book yet!" Every person out there has that one magical book that opens their eyes to the magic that comes from losing yourself in a good book.
A good classroom library has a variety of books at different reading levels with a wide range of topics, genres, and authors.
Please help my class find the book that will turn them into a lifelong reader!
