Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a Gifted and Talented Coordinator and teacher in Houston, Texas. Our school is a Title I, public charter school.
My students are identified as gifted and talented and come from a diverse background.
I love how creative and inspirational my students are. They are always teaching me new things and inspire me to be a better teacher. GT students are one of the most underserved populations in public education. My students love to learn and enjoy seeking opportunities to challenge themselves and grow.
My Project
The items in this list will help my students create quality research projects. The color printers will allow students to print colorful examples for their projects instead of using black and white ink. The Chromebook will give another student the opportunity to research in the class. It can be difficult to do research projects in my classroom if all students are not able to work on their project at the same time. The Makey Makey will allow students to use creative methods to solve problems. It has been popular with my students in the past and will assist in their creative building skills.
