My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school, my students are faced with challenges both in and out of the classroom. We strive each and every day to overcome those challenges and to provide each student with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

Our students walk into their school every day ready to learn and full of excitement for what is in store for them that day.

They love to move, love to create, and love lots of positive attention! We pursue learning in an inclusive and positive way, making sure to show appreciation for our diverse backgrounds.

My Project

The ETA hand2mind Daily Math Fluency kit includes 180 days of instruction designed to develop numeracy and the ability to use mathematical relationships to reason with numbers and numerical concepts. I am especially interested in this kit because it includes a teacher guide with 120 Number Strings and 60 Math Talks.

This kit will be an excellent addition to our daily math instruction.

My students thoroughly enjoy math talks, which promotes the application of multiple strategies and provides opportunities for students to talk about the relationships in numbers and make connections in mathematics. This kit also includes oversized manipulatives which are​ helpful for either small or whole group instruction.
