Our school is a Title I school in a small, rural county. Most of my students come from low income homes with little or no technology. All of our students receive free lunch and breakfast through a grant for low income schools. Our school serves students in pre-k through 4th grade.
I am honored to be teaching kindergarten and helping little brains grow.
They are so excited to be big kinders. I love seeing their smiling little faces as they learn new things. My kinders are curious, loving and enthusiastic about learning.
My Project
The materials and supplies I am requesting will be used to bring imagination to life. My kindergarteners will be learning how to share their thoughts, feelings, and dreams with others through their writings. These journals will provide a place for my students to share their thoughts and feeling. The journals will also encourage my students to practice their writing skills.
Developing writing skills at an early age will create lifelong readers and writers.
By helping students become writers, they will recognize the relationship between letters and sounds. By building strong foundational skills in ELA, students will gain the knowledge they need to be successful readers and writers.
