There are 150 kindergarten students and each one is unique and special! They love coming to school, putting their best foot forward, and working hard to become creative readers, writers and thinkers! They have a love for reading and a love for learning! For some, school is one of the most safe and consistent things in their live. Coming to school and being with their friends and teachers is much more than learning, it is everything they need and deserve!
My Project
Our kindergarten students have a love for literacy and listening to engaging interactive read alouds. Our kindergarten teachers use these read alouds daily to increase literacy skills as well as social emotional learning!
These thematic stories are one of a kind and will help our students develop a love for reading while increasing their listening compression skills and developing their background knowledge.
These fiction and non fiction stories will enhance our reading program and allow for our students to make connections with texts and serve as a model for fluent reading.
