This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students come from pretty rough backgrounds and circumstances. They have made a commitment to make education a priority in their life! They are so talented and full of life, they make teaching easy and make me proud each day.

A large percentage of my students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds.

So when it comes to completing school work, they typically don't have the necessary resources to be successful. We are a small charter school so we don't have a lot of resources.

My Project

This year, a part of the curriculum is to help students learn better studying habits so they can be successful in their classes. I believe the printer and student planners will help me as a teacher print important updated information for them throughout the year. It will also help when we do college and career readiness projects. A large percentage of my students don't have access to computers and printers at home. So being able to help my students print out documents and pictures for their assignments will help tremendously. My goal is to really help these kids become as successful as possible. I know the planners and printer will make a world of difference.
