Help me give my students an environment to destress when they have communication issues, anxiety, and anger due to classroom and social activities

Our students in the functional skills program range in age from 14-22 and present with a diagnosed intellectual disabilities similar to moderate cognitive impairments. They travel to and from high school with door to door transportation; due to their cognitive limitations, and the dangerous risks involved in traveling across the city via public transportation.
We aspire to teach our students the necessary adaptive life skills to be happy, successful, and contributing members of society.
My students need an area to destress and have a break when their anxiety is high and when they are angry. Due to their intellectual disability, they have difficulty communicating their thoughts and emotions. We, as a program, wish to give them that space so that they can remain productive and empowered human beings.
As part of the classroom, I wish to create a quiet corner for any student that is angry, sad, or having anxiety due to social or classroom activities. This will help keep them on task and able to develop necessary coping strategies to be a member of the outside world. As a program, we are highly therapeutic with our practices as well as academic. The rug and seat will allow a student to disconnect from the main group to work on specific destress strategies and work on academic work in a comfortable setting. Blue and green are colors that inspire creativity and relaxation.
