My Project

The materials that I am requesting are the most basic aspect of a functional classroom: desks! I've been teaching for 21 years with the same set of student desks since day one, and they had already seen better days when I came on board! Not only are they mismatched and horribly scratched, but they are missing feet, screws, and chips of paint. There are cracks that snag the students' clothing and gaps that pinch their fingers. They wobble, creak, and generally distract my kiddos.

Please help my 33 students by gifting them with sturdy, matching, functional desks that won't scratch or pinch them.

My students are enthusiastic about school. They work hard and consistently give their best efforts. They deserve to sit at a desk for six hours that isn't damaged and broken.
