This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach dual-immersion full-day kindergarten. Our day is full of learning and my students are always happy and eager to learn. About half of my student are English speakers who are learning Spanish and the rest are English learners. I am in constant need of resources and materials to help my students learn the language and master the kindergarten standards. My students deserve the best and it is my job to help them be successful in their first year of school.

My Project

I believe that kindergartners are the most creative group of students. When they start school, they are eager and excited to learn and it is up to us as teachers, to keep that motivation alive.

Having these Design and Engineering Centers for my students would encourage them to use their imagination and creativity to create whatever their minds can think of.

I am always looking for ways and resources to add to my classroom that will help my students develop their critical thinking skills and I think these centers would be a great addition. I cannot wait to see what my students create.
