Mrs. Smith from Ozark AL is requesting books through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need a class set of the classic novel Charlotte's Web. I would also love to have some resources to support novel instruction, such as Charlotte's Web Student packs and Teacher Resource Guides.

The student population at my school is comprised of 3rd through 5th grades. The intermediate grades are truly a treat to teach. They are independent "big kids" with the enthusiasm for learning evident in "little kids." Our students love and respect their teachers.
The students in my location have very limited background knowledge and experiences.
We are located in an area with a higher number of public housing and poverty than compared to other cities in our part of Alabama. Students struggle to fill gaps while learning on grade level.
Novels are the perfect way to incorporate a variety of standards and skills during reading instruction. With Charlotte's Web, students will practice grade level standards in reading, writing, as well as have the opportunity to discuss and discover some of the most important social skills imperative to becoming a well rounded citizen. Friendship, honesty, and determination are just a few of the character traits portrayed in Charlotte's Web.
Not only will Charlotte's Web be a valuable instructional tool, kids LOVE novel studies!
This novel is sure to be a hit with young readers and when students enjoy what they are reading, they are more likely to comprehend what they are reading at a higher rate!
