My students need additional seating for classroom activities, This table will be used for our computer area. This will enable each student to have a designated area to work on computer projects.
As a special education teacher in a low socioeconomic Title I school, all the students qualify for free breakfast and lunch. My class consists of 13 students. My kids are faced with many challenges in and outside the classroom. They are academically two years below grade level. Many of my students come from single parent homes. Although my kids have varying disabilities (LD, Autism, ED and Mentally Handicapped), they are eager to learn and succeed. I want to provide an atmosphere that is safe, and welcoming. Help me engage and inspire my students by becoming a partner in their learning.
My Project
My students need a computer table that is to be designated the computer center. This will give my students space to complete assigned tasks that require the use of Technology. Located away from other center activities.
We currently have our computers sitting on top of shelf.
Keeping the computers charged has become a challenge since we have only two outlets in the classroom. Wires tend to be in the way and becomes dangerous. Students tripping and falling over the wires is a constant challenge.
Students need a comfortable and safe area away from outlets and wires. A computer center table allows me to charge computers overnight so my students can start the day safe and ready to work.
