Help me give my students the experience of designing and making shirts, mugs, caps through sublimation which students can create designs for clubs, teams and other organizations and put them on various items using a heat press.
My students are from a rural area where school is very traditional but my students want to experience education not just told about it. Most days they sit and listen to teachers lecture or read passages but they want more out of school. They want hands-on activities that will challenge their imaginations and knowledge to create and solve problems. Many students want more freedom in the classroom, as middle school students, they are trying to find their way as young men and women on the way to high school and adulthood. I want to give them experiences in my class that could help them decide career and educational paths.
My Project
These materials will allow students to create one of a kind designs and transfer them to various substrates. Students have unique interests and ideas. This project will bring out their creative side and allow them to make a number of things from -shirts to coffee mugs with their personal designs and touch.
The sublimation printer will be used to print off individual designs and the sublimation heat transfer presses will allow those designs to be put on a variety of different items and materials.
Students not only get to design, but they will get to learn how to create personalized items themselves.
