Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach one hundred and twenty five fourth graders science. Over seventy percent of my students are living below the poverty line. They are a lively group of students who love to do hands-on activities.

My students need to learn about weather. I would love to allow them to experience meteorology instead of just reading about it in books.

With your help my students will be able to experiment with tools to measure weather and record their finding. They will understand patterns of weather and why it occurs.

You will put these instruments in students’ hands. Weather will no longer be something read about in books, but a part of their world. I believe these activities will empower students to better understand the world around them.
