This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are inquisitive, motivated, and eager to learn. They are thoughtful readers and eloquent speakers and writers. They love exploring different perspectives through the texts we read in class, and make insightful connections to the world and their own lives.

My students joyfully engage in rigorous learning, and delight in discovery of their own talents and ability to develop their skills.

My Project

My students will use these laptops to work on writing projects and revision during class time, as well as engaging in self-paced digital video lesson learning. Some students have their own devices, which they are able to bring to and from school, but we need a consistent number of laptops any student can use during class in order to be able to rely on technology for our lessons.

With these laptops, I would be able to break students into small groups, provide feedback more easily, and target specific writing needs more easily and often.

More than ever, my students need opportunities to build their writing skills and computer skills simultaneously. Having these laptops would provide us with the technology access we need in order to support my students.
