I need this program to provide RTI Tier 2 intervention instruction professional development to our primary grade level teachers. As our school’s instructional coach, I strongly feel that IPA program will enhance our existing curriculum.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are inner city minority students who are mostly English language creative learners from low income community. Our school is a Title I pilot school where everyone (students, teachers, parents, administrators, and community members) works together to create the best learning environment possible.
Gratts Learning Academy for Young Scholars’ philosophy focuses on social justice and leadership skills with an emphasis on critical thinking and 21st century skills.
Our scholars are hard-working, respectful, self-motivated young scholars who are eager to learn and be the best they can be in life!
My Project
As our school district implements an Early Language and Literacy Plan, we are seeking to engage our teachers with differentiated literacy professional development. Using the IPA Program as a resource will help our teachers expand their knowledge of foundational literacy content. Teachers will be provided with engaging professional development to improve the four critical phonological awareness skills. The professional development and IPA program will be implemented in a small group setting during our Early Language and Literacy Plan block (time). Our goal is to provide teachers with a program that gets results without significant time investment.
