This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach students with moderate to severe disabilities. They have the biggest hearts and are so funny. Since there are so few of them and they are with me 3 years in a row, we really get to know each other.

My Project

I noticed, as I was teaching online at the end of last year, that none of my students had a place to work. One student even put his computer on the toilet seat and sat on the floor so he could see his computer. Others put the computers on the floor and hunched over it to attend lessons. I could see they were hunched over the computer, or leaned on one arm, so it was hard to access the computer and listen/work at the same time. I want them to be comfortable while distance learning.
