Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are simply the best! We are a Title I school, but that certainly doesn't define my students. I have taught respect from day one, and my students are learning to be independent. I have the ESE inclusion class, so we have a wide range of academic skills. We are looking to find our strengths and grow our weaknesses.

My students are very active and have a strong desire to learn.

We simply want to be the best at everything. Third grade is a challenging year and we are making the most of it! To be the best, we need the best supplies. Having all our needs in one spot is convenient and amazing!

My Project

My students absolutely love food and are always hungry! We have had food in our room for over a year now and it has made a huge difference in our learning. My students get to cash in points weekly for awesome treats and whenever they just need a snack.

These are our favorite snacks and we are looking to replenish our snack store.

My students are highly focused when they are not hungry and only thinking about when lunch is. We do not have snack time, and many of my students do not have extra food to take to school. I love providing this to my students not only as an incentive, but it's also a high need for many of my students.
