Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We just moved into an old, but new to us, classroom. The wall and boards are bare and not inviting. The students need an environment in which they can be comfortable and focused.
My students are from a low-income area and many do not enjoy school.
They are often not comfortable in class and struggle to pass their classes and graduate. We are in the Tech Ed Small Learning Community which means we have funding for electronics, but not as much for books and decorations.
The school is a large urban school in California that has a diverse population.

My students need decorations for their new classroom. Specifically ordered are: bulletin board borders and chart toppers and posters related to reading and literature. The wall toppers and boards liners will add color and interest to the currently bare walls. The students spend a lot of time trying to focus on reading and writing in the classroom; let's give them an environment that is conducive for learning.
There is a lack of funds for creating a warm and inviting classroom that the students will want to be a part of.
When the students are comfortable, success follows. Give every wall something we can learn! Please help to decorate our new classroom.
