This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a wonderful group of second-grade learners. Our classroom is full of diversity with students who are ready to learn and enjoy the process. Our diverse group includes military children, special education students, and second language learners.

We are learning together to build a great, inclusive learning environment to work towards our highest potential.

We work together to include all students in all activities. We all work on goals although we just may accomplish them in different ways.

My main goal is to create an environment where all my students will continue to learn, grow and see themselves in their curriculum. Three words to describe our learning environment are “whatever it takes.” When we do this, we all benefit.

My Project

These new materials will help my students express themselves by being able to decorate their folders and water bottles. The plastic folders will be a place to keep all of our work in one place. The stickers are to decorate and make our folders unique. The stickers will also help us make our water bottles special to us. Everyone in my class has their own bottle, but they all look alike, especially at the end of the day. These materials will help them stand out.

My students will be able to pick stickers that they like to decorate their water bottles.

They will have a choice and they will not all look alike.
