Help me give my students a boost in their decoding and problem solving skills. These resources, Making Words and STEM materials, will promote reading and problem solving skills for my students.
My second graders are creative and full of energy. They love hands-on learning experiences and lessons that are engaging and motivating. They enter my classroom ready to learn and take risks that will help them be successful students and citizens in our community.
Each student comes into my room with their own strengths and challenges, but that doesn't stop them from being eager to learn.
I strive to make learning authentic and fun where my students are excited to come into our classroom each day. My students are truly my inspiration to make our learning environment the best it possibly can be.
My Project
Reading is necessary in order to do daily life tasks. The materials and supplies I have requested is to boost my students phonics, reading, and writing skills. As second graders these skills are necessary to their reading abilities in later grades. I am asking for the following materials to perform a strategy called Making Words. These include Making Words Second Grade Hands-On Phonics skill builder, Reading Strategies Book for Teachers, pens, notecards, timer, and photo storage for organizing the cards.
My students thrive on hands on learning and the brain science between using hands to learn show exponential growth in skills.
Also included is two STEM resources to help with problem solving and social skills. These magnetic building blocks and engineering sets will increase my 2nd Graders science, math, and social skills. Thank you for donating to my amazing 2nd-Graders!
