Decoding Made Fun

My Students

I am a reading interventionist at an elementary school that is highly impacted. I work with struggling students that haven't qualified for special education. My job is to intervene and get each child reading on grade level by the end of the year. A lot of my students didn't have the support from home, access to books or the technology to get online when the schools were shut down, so they are behind. I would love books that I could send home with them that are on their skill level. I also would love some games and incentives for the students in my classroom.

My Project

The resources that I have requested will give students books that they can take home to read that are on their individual skill level. Many students don't have access to books that they can read at home. Research shows the more they practice, the better readers students become. I want students to be able to read and be successful with books at home as well as at school.

I also requested games that will engage the students while learning the skills they need to be successful readers.

These students are pulled out of class, so I have requested incentives that they can earn for working hard and doing their best.
