I teach in a Title I school in central Alabama. My students are a mix of all abilities, including those who receive services through the special education program. I teach a self-contained class, which means students spend the majority of their day with me.
My students are a delightful crew!
We love to get up on our feet with hands-on learning opportunities! Whether it's reading, science, grammar, or anything else, we love to be in motion! I love the curiosity these kids exhibit every day. They make each moment an adventure!
My first graders are really growing as readers! These books are on the "just right" level for them: they are based on phonics skills we're learning, so students can practice their "de-coding" skills as they work to read independently!
Because practice can become tiresome, I selected books that these students will LOVE!
This project will provide my students with tons of FUN titles including Justice League, Plants Versus Zombies, Splat the Cat, Frog and Toad, and so much more! My students won't want to put their new books down, and they'll feel SO EMPOWERED to get their hands on books they can read all on their own.
