Help me give my students the materials they need to feel successful reading and sounding out stories! As well as helping teachers have access to a reliable printer that they can print materials needed for our reading programs!
Our school is starting a new school wide intervention program that focuses on a systematic approach to phonics and phonemic awareness. It will also encourage a love of literacy. We need additional materials to help reinforce their success and positive learning.
By donating to our project, you will not only help improve and increase their reading ability, you will ultimately help to increase their mental and social health.
We are so excited to implement this program and make a difference in our students lives! Based on research we have discovered these students have many wholes in their learning that need to be filled before they can improve their self confidence and become proficient readers.
Many of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch, and our school also provides other essential items for them. Despite so many hardships, our students are eager to learn.
My Project
These books and materials will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy learning and feeling independent. Every book that is placed our teacher resource library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to have the resources.
With these new books, and printer our students and teachers will be able to choose from a variety of books and be able to print the needed resources that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level.
The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
