Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am an elementary school art teacher in a large, urban, public school. I have 600 students and need to be very thrifty with my budget.

We have a large building that is in need of more art on the hallways. Art in our school inspires us each day. It brightens our surroundings and makes us feel goo about our school. I would like to create ceramic tiles featuring VanGogh motifs to enlighten our hallways.

To create this artwork I will need ceramic tiles from an art supply catalog. They are kits that have enough tiles for a classroom. I would like two kits, enough for all of my 5th grade students to participate. This opportunity will allow my 5th grade students to learn about the artist Van Gogh and to make artwork to brighten our school building.

Your donation will empower my 5th grade artists to be able to make decorative ceramic tiles to be permanently displayed in our school. The mural will bring joy to the building for many years to come. The artwork will be inspiring to all of the students and staff. Please help us with our art project.
