My Students

Our school is a non-profit public charter school. We believe that Deaf and hard of hearing children can and should succeed. Our bilingual learning environment recognizes the students’ distinct language and culture while promoting strong ASL and English literacy skills. Our school has a high performing educational program based on a rigorous curriculum and research-based teaching strategies. We offer a wide range of programs from preschool through high school.

Deaf science students are incredibly curious and are very observant learners.

A science classroom is a great place for students to follow their curiosity and passions to better understand the world around them.

My Project

These materials will make a huge difference for the students because they will make microscopic and molecular-level processes occur in front of them. Because this year is crazy and some activities and labs need to become demonstrations, these kits will demonstrate countless properties of water and of DNA, as well as some of the in-depth processes both DNA and water undergo.

The students are currently craving hands-on, engaging, and enlightening processes, and these materials will provide exactly that.

The students are eager to learn the basics of chemistry to better understand themselves, the beautiful molecule that is DNA; these materials will provide that experience.
