Help me give my students opportunities to gain new experiences for their future. This includes a Cricut Explore Air 2, Cricut Easy Press, and other items.
My students attend a K-12 school for the Deaf where they have the opportunity to learn and grow until age 21. We are a bilingual program where students learn and utilize American Sign Language and English.
High School students in the Life Skills program learn real-world skills so they can earn gainful employment opportunities post-high school.
Students in this program have additional needs including cognitive and language delays. Students in this program will become more knowledgeable of their community, self-awareness, independent living, teamwork, and personal safety.
My Project
Due to COVID-19 our life skills class is not allowed to go out to businesses in the community to practice real-world skills, so we are bringing learning experiences to them through this project.
Using the Cricut Explore Air, Cricut EasyPress machines and requested materials, students will learn to design, cut, and adhere decals, and then budget, market, and sell their creations in the student store.
The assorted vinyl, cardstock, and weeding tools will teach students how to personalize and apply these skills across projects and materials. These are applicable and marketable skills that students can apply and use after they graduate from our school.
