De-Escalate and Re-Focus Over Stimulation

Help me give my students bubble lamps, night projector and other sensory items to help with regulation and over stimulation.

My Project

I am the Behavioral Interventionist at and I would like to add these tools to my room to help my students, de-escalate, re-focus and help with over stimulation. The sensory items (bubble lamp, ocean projector, liquid motion sensory, and chews) will be used to help students when they need to de-escalate, refocus or a moment to calm down. The Chews will be student specific.

A sensory area is important for all students with special needs or who struggle with sensory overload.

This helps students calm and regulate themselves so they can be prepared for learning and interacting with others. Some students struggle to cope, and loud noises, bright lights, and over stimulation came be an unwelcoming and uncomfortable for our students.
